Once upon a time, there was a female brain cell, which by mistake, happened to end up in a man's head. She looked around nervously, but it was all empty and quiet.

"Hello?" she cried... but no answer.

"Is there anyone here?" she cried a little louder, but still no answer...

Now the female brain cell started to feel alone and scared and yelled:

"HELLO, IS THERE ANYONE HERE?"

Then she heard a faint voice from far, far away... "Hello - we're all down here..."

I guess that explains why male brains are more expensive that female brains: Male brains are unused.

A decade ago, U.S. researchers discovered something that many women already knew: The male human brain shrinks faster with age than the female brain. Researchers said men and women
combined average a loss of about 2.5 percent of their brain mass per decade, starting in young adulthood under the age of 30. Men's brains, however, may become smaller 30% faster. Shrinkage was most pronounced in areas that control thinking, planning and memory. Hmmm.. maybe that explains everything.

Oh, I was researching stuff on the Net -- something about... duh! I forgot... yikes! I'm losing it -- when I chanced upon that little bit of information.

Anyway, did you know that there is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research? This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

What's this?

Monday Morning Punch started 15 years ago when I sent out my essays to a bunch of people every Monday morning. I wrote freewheeling, happy, sad, inspirational, senseless, personal, technical, funny, boring, gross, or cynical essays. I sent these through postcards and letters, then later on via email. Various newspapers and magazines have also published the better ones.
